Shifting our thoughts

Years ago I discovered the book “Battlefield of the mind” by Joyce Meyer. I'll be thankful forever to God for directing me to that book. When it comes to mind attacks, it doesn't matter if you are emotionally driven or analytical. We all have to shift our thoughts to positive thinking regardless of personality, current situation or energy levels. We don't realize how much time the enemy takes from us because we don't shift our thoughts and feelings soon enough and we end up giving away the rest of our day. 

Time is precious! We actually don't have enough because it does fly. I see so many people that actually have it all letting DAYS go by just because of a bad MOMENT. I experienced that so many times and it doesn't matter how many times I wish I would go back and change it, it won't. However, God is faithful. He always shows us the way. Even if it is hard. He made sure we had the truth we needed to keep walking long ago. We just don't go to it enough. 

Philippians 4:6-7 says: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

There are so many things from my past I can't change, even from my present. It does not matter how much of a control freak I think I am. They are not in my power. However, I DO have the ability to shift my thinking and decide the outcome. Will I let it get the rest of the day/week/month/years or will I use it for good today? 

There are 3 kind of people that will try their best to ruin our day. Haters (in general), people around us that can't get it together themselves and project all of their frustrations/fears/insecurities in us. The enemy (Satan), whispering in our ears how defeated “he wishes” we are. And last but not least, OURSELVES. Many times we believe the lies of the enemy because we actually believe that ourselves. We don't think we are good enough

Let me tell you something my friend. If we don't do the work of believing in ourselves, nobody will. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10”  It is not about pride. It's about believing He called us “good”. 

Let's shift out thoughts today. I'm sure there's a blessing we can remember in our minds and take hold of that until we find the next one. 

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Philippians 4:8”
